Dahiem Dukes, 20, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of second-degree unlawful restraint, Vermont State Police said. He is being held without bail.
Troopers were called to a home in Royalston around 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, to reports of a man attacking someone with a wooden stick, authorities said. Police arrived and found Dukes hiding in an upstairs bedroom.
Witnesses inside the home said Dukes had attacked two people there before police arrived, troopers said.
